Time Saving Business Tips

I am constantly asked how I juggle the different business ventures I have.  Friends have told me I can’t believe you wake up to post to your blog at 6am every morning on the dot…and I realized I had to write a blog post to let people in on the secret that I automate most of my business tasks.  While I am up that early I am certainly not up crafting blog posts.  I have found various tools over the years that have helped me do many different tasks and I wanted to share them with you to use in your businesses.

Time Saving Business Tips

  • Onlypult – Onlypult has been a life saver in helping me automate my Instagram.  So many of the other social media outlets have become automated where you can schedule things in advance…but Instagram was the last one I was actually setting my alarm for to post at 6am.  Once we discovered Onlypult we sit down once a week and schedule out all of our Instagram posts for Gray Monroe.  Another cool feature is that we can quickly and easily reshare posts that people have tagged us in or have used our hashtag.
  • BoardBooster – Boardbooster is another great automation system for Pinterest.  Staying active on Pinterest and not only pinning your own content but curating other content is important for bloggers.  Approximately 90% of my traffic comes from Pinterest!  Boardbooster allows me to sit down for an hour and repin items to secret boards and then it spreads out my pins according to the time frame I want them spread out.  You also are able to loop your boards which means that if you haven’t sat down to pin in awhile it will repin older items on your boards.  Another favorite feature is campaigns.  Say I have some quality pins of my own that revolve around a specific holiday.  I can set up a campaign that will post all of those pins in that secret board to group boards
  • Post Planner for Facebook – We plan and re-share old blog posts on my Facebook page each day to keep generating traffic to those posts.  Using post planner is an easy way to schedule those posts out in bulk.
  • WordPress Plugins – I wrote this blog posts about my favorite WordPress plugins.  Quite possibly my favorite ones are Coschedule which automatically push my blog posts through to my different Facebook pages and Social Networks Auto Poster that pins my blog posts to Pinterest upon publishing.  Yes, at 6am when I am snoozing.

These things have helped me automate different parts of marketing my businesses and not be glued to my phone.  What are some of your favorite time saving business tips?
